Retail Business Russia presented in Moscow its biggest conference with national and international speakers like Anatoly Chubais/Chairman of Rosnano, the Russian retail icon Dr. Lev Khasis, Oleg Sazanov from the Federal Ministry of Industry and Trade, Michail Orlov from the Moscow Government and many others. Included into the Conference was the student competition ?New Wave?, moderated by Ilya Yakubson, president of Dixy.
Prof. Dr. B. Hallier additionally visited the State University of Management where a new experiment is started: to stimulate entrepreneurial management among students the university is providing some special rooms and technology for students who like to earn own money by doing research for companies and consulting already during their studies. |10.08.2016 : Wealth of Nations
The first decade of this century was dominated by the open borders for internationalization/globalization which was leading to an increase of wealth of those participating in liberal trade.
Now the BREXIT as well as restrictions within trade laws of Hungary, Poland, Romania as well as the trade conflict with Russia decreases the expectations of growth. Academia has failed to teach liberal social economics ! Unfortunately now national Emotio starts again to dominate Ratio ! "The European Retail Academy will nevertheless (and against that tendency) promote the exchange of human capital because this is the basic way for international understanding" Prof. B.Hallier stated in a personal message to his member-universities.
|16.7.2013 : Distance Learning
The University of Vitez in Bosnia-Herzogewina (link) created together with Circle International a new chair for distance learning for MBA- and PhD-students (link). Joining as an adjunct professor for retail/marketing/Central- and East Europe was at the Inauguration of the Professoriate ERA-President Prof.Dr.B.Hallier.
"Distance learning helps to decrease investment into bricks and to transfer it more to the mental input. Especially as an add-on we can go cross-border easily: for students as well as for teachers!" Hallier stated in Vitez and referred also to the EU-project INNOCASE

|17.07.2014 : Portmeirion
In 1925 B.Clough Williams-Ellis (1883-1978) acquired a peninsular at the Traeth Bach River in Wales/UK to develop his own village.Describing his plans in 1926 in the Architects' Journal he was able to impress potential investors. In two steps 1926-1939 and 1954-1978 he realized his vision as an advocate in rural preservation, amenity planning and colourful architecture (www.portmeirion-village.com).
Clough Williams-Ellis was also a founding member of the Council for the Protection of Rural England (1926) as well as of Wales (1928). His own village is surrounded by 70 acres of subtropical forest gardens.
|15.06.2019 : GFVC 4.0
In 1972 Prof.Dr.B.Hallier was AIESEC exchange student in South Africa where he worked as a trainee with Rembrandt Tobacco in Stellenbosch and later travelled among other places to Lesotho and Eshowe/Zulu-Land. Since that time he is in permanent contact with his friends to create awareness for the African continent : now he decided to promote by the European Retail Academy GFVC 4.0
The GFVC (Global Fashion Value Chain Federation) aims to improve by its 4.0 Congress/Exhibition in April 2020 global manufacturing, integrating the fragmented structures and industry, and to unlock the high untapped potential to create jobs for Africa's youth and women.
